Several music festivals will be held in September 2016. They include; Electric Zoo, Life Is Beautiful, Festival Number 6, Lake Of Stars, Ibiza Closing Parties, Galungan, Hajj and Galway Oyster Festival, among others.

However, we believe that these five will definitely be more satisfactory and enjoyable than others. This is our choice: Austin City Limits, Bestival, Bumbershoot, Burning Man and Electric Picnic.

1. Austin City Limits

  • 30th September – 2nd October 2016
  • Austin, Texas, US

The Austin City Limits music festival has been consistently held for the last 12 years. Over the years, it has grown in leaps and bounds. Whenever it is held, music lovers usually fill the expansive Zilker Park, Austin’s crown jewel of green spaces.

Music lovers who have the intention of attending the September 2016 edition will be treated to a wide range of music genres such as rock, jazz and pop, among others.

Renowned artists that have previously graced the music festival include; Arcade Fire, Jack Johnson, Foo Fighters, The Strokes, and Drake, among others.

2. Bestival

  • 8th September – 11th September 2016
  • Isle of Wight-England

The first edition of Bestival was unveiled in 1993, during which approximately 10,000 people attended. It is so popular that Sir Elton John once agreed to perform during one of his Peak Performance Tours, even though he hadn’t appeared in any UK festival for over 30 years.

It is run by Rob da Bank and Josie. Rob is a radio DJ on BBC 1, whereas Josie is a renowned graphic designer.

The general expectation is that about 60, 000 music fans will attend the September 2016 edition.

If you attend this year’s edition, you’ll certainly be impressed by the organizer’s personal touch regarding sophisticated stage designs, individual events, and festival grounds.

You’ll enjoy listening to EDM, pop, indie, funk as well as soul music.

3. Electric Picnic

  • 2nd September – 4th September 2016
  • Stradbally, Ireland

The Electric Picnic Festival can only be compared to the Irish countryside when it blooms under the summer sun. This is because it always features a great musical line up that is effectively packaged in a manageable size, thus resulting in an exceptional event that permanently remains etched in the memories of those who attend.

4. Bumbershoot

  • 2nd September – 4th September 2016
  • Seattle, Washington

If you love music festivals, then you shouldn’t miss the three-day Bumbershoot Festival.

The festival is usually characterized by a variety of musical acts that are performed on several stages during the American Labor Day weekend.

During the September 2016 Bumbershoot Festival, there will be performances by stand-up comedians. If you are always fascinated by rich literature, pop culture, theater, history, film or visual arts, then you shouldn’t miss it.

Just as the case has been in previous editions, literature will be explored using ideas and words. You’ll interact with renowned bloggers, writers from leading media outlets, novelists as well as authors.

5. Burning Man

  • 28th August – 5th September 2016
  • Black Rock City, Nevada, United States

Burning Man is a quintessential culture and arts festival. More than 65,000 free spirits usually travel from around the world to Nevada with the sole aim of attending the festival.

For the uninitiated, the festival conjures various outrageous images in their minds. The Playa (location of the stage) is a culturally interesting place, partly idealistic and partly hedonistic.

However, in the midst of the Silicon Valley CEOs and hippies who occupy this town, the unifying factor is an approval of how life-affirming the artistic spirit is.
